FC Barcelona 2024/25 Annual Report

Barcelona released its 2024/25 Annual Report in late October alongside the Ordinary General Assembly, where members approved last season’s accounts and the 2025/26 budget. We have looked through the 338-page report to pull the key figures on revenue, wages, transfer payables, taxes, financing, one-offs, and the stadium project. The point of this is to put the most accurate numbers in one place, because there are too many shaky claims and fake figures floating around.

Eric GarcĂ­a suffers nasal fracture

Barcelona centre-back Eric García left the pitch late in the 3-3 draw against Club Brugge after a clash of heads with Romeo Vermant. Overnight tests confirmed a partial fracture of the nasal bones, and the medical staff will decide if he plays soon with a protective mask or rests until after the international break.

Barcelona left Paris with four major awards. Aitana BonmatĂ­ won a third straight Ballon d’Or. Lamine Yamal finished second in the men’s Ballon d’Or and retained the Kopa Trophy. Vicky LĂłpez won the first women’s Kopa Trophy. Ewa Pajor received the Gerd MĂŒller Trophy for top women’s scorer. Barcelona’s Ballon d’Or total reached 20 with 13 from La Masia, and the ballot also placed Raphinha fifth, Pedri 11th, and Robert Lewandowski 17th.

Barcelona arrived in Paris for the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony

Barcelona touched down in Paris on Monday evening for the 2025 Ballon d’Or gala at the Théùtre du ChĂątelet, which starts at 21:00 CEST on Movistar Plus. The club traveled with a large group led by president Joan Laporta and featuring nominees from both the men’s and women’s teams, as well as head coach Hansi Flick. 

Gavi will undergo knee surgery

Barcelona have announced that Gavi will undergo an arthroscopic examination on his right knee this Tuesday. The procedure will be carried out by Dr. Joan Carles Monllau under the supervision of the club’s medical staff, with a new update to follow once it is completed.

Barcelona confirm Midea as Main Partner and sleeve sponsor from 2026/27

Barcelona have signed a five season agreement with Midea that starts in the 2026-27 season. The club says Midea will be a Main Partner and the Official Home Appliances Partner, with the logo on the left sleeve of the first team jersey and on training wear from 1st July 2026. The deal was signed on 2nd September by First Vice President Rafael Yuste and Lewis Fu, President of Midea International Business. 

Barcelona draw 1-1 at Rayo Vallecano on Matchday 3

Barcelona closed August with a 1 - 1 draw in Vallecas. Lamine Yamal scored a penalty in the first half, and Fran PĂ©rez equalized from a corner after the break. The pitch was rough, the VAR monitor worked off and on in the first half, and Joan GarcĂ­a’s saves protected the point. Hansi Flick rotated in defense, FermĂ­n LĂłpez saw minutes off the bench, and Barça finished the month on seven points from three away games.

Barcelona 2025/26 Champions League schedule and home venue plan

UEFA has approved Barcelona’s request to start the 2025/26 campaign away. That clears a home date on October 1 in Barcelona, with Camp Nou the first choice and Montjuïc ready if needed. The league phase will open away on September 18, then the second game will be at home on October 1. The goal is to buy extra time to prepare the first European night back in the city.

Barça and Mallorca agree Jan Virgili transfer, Barça keep 50%

Barcelona and Mallorca have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Jan Virgili. Barcelona will retain 50 percent of the winger’s rights. Virgili has traveled to Palma and will undergo his medical on Thursday, August 28, before signing a five year contract that includes a buy back option. The fee is set in the low millions.

City Council visit set to decide Camp Nou return

Barcelona are pushing to reopen Spotify Camp Nou for the Valencia match on September 13 to 14. Sources have confirmed to Blaugranagram that tomorrow’s City Council visit will be decisive after the club received the final works certificate for Phase 1A.

Barcelona debut DR Congo training sponsor; four-year deal worth €44m

Barcelona await Certificate of Completion of Works (CFO) for 27,000-fan return

Barça expects to receive the Certificate of Completion of Works (CFO) on August 18, 2025, a prerequisite for a partial reopening of Spotify Camp Nou to 27,000 spectators. Once issued, the CFO will be sent to the City Council to process the initial occupation permit, sources have confirmed to Blaugranagram. LaLiga and UEFA personnel are expected to visit at the end of August to review progress while licensing is handled.

Flick keeps Jofre, Dro, Toni and Guille; no Brazil trip for Intercontinental Cup

FC Barcelona will not release Jofre Torrents, Dro, Guille Fernåndez and Toni Fernåndez to travel to Brazil for the U20 Intercontinental Cup.
