Barça Atlètic beat Atlètic Lleida 3–2 in a behind-closed-doors friendly on August 22 at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, with Roony Bardghji scoring the decisive goal.
What happened
Barca Atlètic went 2–0 up through Guillermo Fernández and Aziz Issah. Nil converted a penalty before the break to make it 2–1, and after half-time Moró Sidibe levelled for the visitors, but Bardghji responded with the winner to make it 3–2.
Who played
With many regulars away for a youth final, Barça Atlètic fielded an unusual XI: Eldar Taghizada; Héctor Fort, Hafiz Gariba, Baba Kourouma, Joan Anaya; Pedro Villar, Guillermo Fernández, ‘Dro’ Fernández; Roony Bardghji, Toni Fernández, Aziz Issah. Fort started and captained the team.
Fort’s situation and first-team context
Hansi Flick said Bardghji will not be registered for the away game against Levante, so the club gave him minutes with the reserves while registration is resolved. Fort asked to play to maintain rhythm while his future is finalized. Jofre Torrents was not involved, as he is expected to travel with the first team to Valencia for Levante.
What’s next
Barça Atlètic are scheduled to play their final friendly on Sunday, August 31 against CE L’Hospitalet (18:00), before their Segunda RFEF opener on Sunday, September 7 (12:00) against Porreres at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.
