The same outlet also notes that Barcelona’s other professional teams will carry the “RD Congo – Coeur de Afrique” emblem on their training wear as part of the Global Partner deal.

The agreement

The sponsorship guarantees €11m annually over four seasons (total €44m). The collaboration will be visible at the future Espai Barça, where a “Casa de la DRC” space is planned to showcase Congolese cultural and sporting heritage through interactive displays. The club’s Barça Academies will also roll out activities in the region – camps and clinics in football, basketball, handball, futsal and roller hockey.

According to AS, the new income supports Barcelona’s LaLiga Financial Fair Play position. Adding that the deal has created more salary room to advance player registrations.
