Christensen will miss Denmark’s upcoming Euro preparation.
Andreas Christensen, who was left out at the last minute from Barcelona’s starting lineup against Atlético due to Achilles tendon discomfort, will also not join the Danish national team camp.
Logic and caution prevailed, and the Danish Football Federation announced on Monday morning that “national team coach Kasper Hjulmand has instead chosen Jacob Rasmussen from Brondby, who could make his debut for the national team.” The statement also specifies that the injury to the center-back, now playing as a midfielder, “is minor,” and he is wished a speedy recovery.
Consequently, he will be unable to participate in the two preparatory friendly matches for the Euros against Switzerland (23rd) and the Faroe Islands (26th).
