Barcelona announces that Joao Cancelo has passed medical tests.

Barcelona has reported that Joao Cancelo has successfully passed the tests conducted under the club’s medical supervision and that his condition is not serious, so the player will join the concentration with the Portuguese national team during this international break.

The club has indicated that Cancelo did not travel to Madrid last weekend to play against Atlético Madrid on medical advice, providing further official information regarding the “physical problems” reported before the match. In this regard, ‘RAC 1’ reported on Wednesday that it was related to the monitoring of possible cardiac issues. “Joao Cancelo missed the match against Atlético Madrid on medical advice, preventively. A relative of the player has a heart problem, and the club’s medical services want to rule out any hereditary factors,” the media outlet’s information states.

It’s worth noting that Portugal will play two friendly matches during this international break: tomorrow, Thursday, against Sweden at 20:45, and next Tuesday, the 26th, against Slovenia at the same time. Robert Martínez, however, has released both Blaugranas (Cancelo and Joao Félix), among others, for the first match, and both will join the concentration for the second game.
