FC Barcelona’s B team coach Garcia Pimíenta, with 16 years of coaching experience, will renew his contract with Barça, as an agreement has been reached.
After weeks of negotiations between two parties, an agreement has finally been reached just two days before his current contract expires. Due to this, he will start his 4th season with Barcelona B team and will be able to prepare for upcoming playoff matches for the Segunda Divsión A without any contractual worries. The Barça B team will face Valladolid Promesas on July 19 in Málaga in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. If Barcelona B wins, two more rounds of a single match await the coach.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Pimíenta will renew for one season plus an option for another one. The terms for the optional season are yet to be defined, although the official announcement, per the same report, is set to take place on Tuesday, June 30.
Under Garcia Pimíenta, Barça B have played 62 games gathering 23 wins, 19 losses and 20 draws along the way.
