The French international gave a short interview to RTL in which he talked about Barcelona and his first season at the Catalan Club.

After his move to Barcelona last season, Antoine Griezmann has had a tough time adjusting to the Barça style of play and even the club itself had a trophyless campaign that ended in a painful defeat at Lisbon. “It has been a very complicated season for everyone, but now we can start it again,” said Griezmann.

The French player was often criticized for the poor link-ups with Barça number 10, Lionel Messi. The 29-year-old explained, “It has been similar to my relationship with Mbappé in the national team. In the beginning, we did not link well with passes and it took me a long time to understand my game with him. With Messi, everything will be better soon”.

Griezmann also spoke about his second season at the Camp Nou, in which he will play under a new coach and hopes to hit his best form. “I’m very happy at Barcelona. I know I have the confidence of the club and the coach. I’m looking forward to seeing my teammates again and give everything to win all the possible trophies, as we have had a trophyless season and it had not happened in Barcelona for a long time”.
