Ansu Fati undergoes partial meniscectomy in Porto

AS has confirmed that the young Barça player has undergone a surgery in which part of his injured meniscus has been removed and would allow him to be back in action in two months.

This Thursday, May 6th, Blaugranagram covered an official statement by the club in which they stated that the Barcelona player had underwent a arthroscopy revision. In simpler terms, there would have been no direct intervention on the damaged meniscus. This process was headed by Portuguese surgeon Jose Carlos Noronha and supervised by Barça medical personnel.

However, it has now been reported by AS, that indeed the player has finally undergone a partial meniscectomy, meaning that part of the original meniscus has been removed. By doing this, the timetable for his return would be moved up to just two months.

It seems that the youngster could be back before many thought, nevertheless he is expected to not have activity throughout the Summer with Spain International team and recover fully for next season.
