As Arthur Melo’s move to Turin nears its completion, the player was permitted to miss today’s training session, in which Sergi Roberto partly took part in.

Following a draw against Celta de Vigo, Barcelona’s players and technical staff returned to the training grounds at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper facilities Sunday.

More specifically, the first-team players who featured in the 2-2 game at the Balaídos did post-game recovery work.

Sergi Roberto was also present in Sunday’s training session, and did part of his training with the rest of the group. Arthur, however, was not present, as he had received permission from the club to miss the training session ahead of his move to Turin.

Monday, the team is expected to have its next training session, starting 9:30 in the morning, with Quique Setién’s press conference to follow ahead of the crucial game against Atlético de Madrid on Tuesday.

Barcelona currently lead the league table, but that could change as Real Madrid face off against Espanyol at the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat Sunday evening with one game in hand.
