The match will be played in solidarity and to contribute to the fight against ALS, informed Ser Catalunya.

In their program, “Qui t’hi jugues”, Ser Catalunya informed about a possible friendly that could take place this summer between Barcelona and Manchester City to contribute to the fight against ALS and as a tribute to Juan Carlos Unzué.

It was also said that not only men but also women’s team will face Manchester City in this friendly game.

With this encounter, we will once again see Pep Guardiola return to Camp Nou and Barcelona’s new signings Aguero and Eric García face their former team. The English side has played two Joan Gamper Trophies so far, the latest being in 2009, where the blues won by solo goal scored by Martin Petrov. It was also a debut match for Zlatan Ibrahimovic for Guardiola’s team.
