After what probably was one of the best performances of the team in this season, both manager and players talked with the press regarding the current performances of the club, confidence, the Champions League and much more.

This Wednesday, December 2nd, FC Barcelona faced its rival Ferencváros FC in a UEFA Champions League clash resulting in a 3-0 victory for the Blaugranas. The team played one of the most convincing games so far thanks to the goals of Antoine Griezmann, Martin Braithwaite and Ousmane Dembélé. However, they were not the only players to stand out during the match.

Koeman

The effectiveness facing goal:

“The team has been effective, we have scored three goals in the first half and it is an important change compared to the beginning of the season. This effectiveness is what has been lacking in some games.”

On Griezmann’s recent form:

“It is a matter of trust. Griezmann has always worked hard to improve his game and effectiveness. Now the goals come in and he is convinced because he has quality. Hopefully this streak continues.”

Regarding Dembélé:

“Dembélé is a great player. He has quality, one on one, fast, is effective and handles both legs. Physically he is very well. Work hard. It is difficult to decide in attack when people like Dembélé are playing at this level.”

On his opponents:

“Our spirit should not depend on Madrid, Sevilla or Atlético. We want to look up, we are nine points from Atlético. We have to win every game until the end of the year to continue with options to win the championship. What Madrid does is not our problem.”

Martin Braithwaite

On helping the team:

“I’m happy and I want to show that I have a place in the team, but the most important thing is how the team is playing lately. We have to continue like this.”

Concerning his latest performances:

“I have been able to show how I am in the last two games and it will only get better with time. I’m very happy, but as I said the most important thing is how the team is doing. I’m excited to play on this team.”

Clement Lénglet

Regarding the match:

“We had a great game, a very good first half with goals and chances, with good possession of the ball. In the second half we have been more careful to prepare for the games to come. We all played a good game and we are very happy.”

On how the team is working:

“We have not changed anything, we are following the same line. The results are working in our favor and we score goals, some very nice, and we don’t concede. This gives us confidence and I hope we continue like this because we have a long way to go. Everybody’s in on it, pushing for wins.”

Óscar Mingueza

On his performance:

“I am very well, in a very good moment. It is true that with 3-0 we have relaxed a bit, but we played a very complete game.”

The level that is demanded:

“Each game is one more game, I am prepared to help my teammates. I have been training for a long time and I know that the pace is very high. There are always things to improve. I still have a Barça B file, but I’m delighted to help the team.”

Miralem Pjanic

On their position in the Champions League:

“We have good feelings in this Champions League and I think we have made ourselves worthy of finishing in first position in our group”

Regarding their next match against Juventus:

“Against them it is always difficult, they have good players and they always want to win, like us. I trust the team, we are on the right track. We always want to win games. The concentration and seriousness of the group has been very good and we deserve to be first of the group. In the second half we were able to do better, score more goals, but in general it was a very serious game.”
