No deadline is set for Lucas Bergvall to make a decision.

On Wednesday night, Lucas Bergvall left Barcelona without providing a response to FC Barcelona regarding their interest in signing him. According to Fernando Polo and Roger Torello of Mundo Deportivo, the 17-year-old Swedish midfielder from Djurgardens, highly sought after by both Barcelona and Tottenham, is yet to decide between the two clubs.

Before meeting with Deco on Tuesday and visiting the Ciutat Esportiva de Sant Joan Despí on Wednesday, he had already visited Tottenham’s facilities in London on Monday.

Reports from the Scandinavian press suggest that during Bergvall and his family’s visit to Tottenham’s training grounds, his fellow countryman Dejan Kulusevski, who joined Tottenham in January 2022, guided him through the club’s inner workings. Kulusevski aimed to persuade Bergvall to accept Tottenham’s offer instead of Barcelona’s.

FC Barcelona remains cautious, awaiting Bergvall’s final decision, and no specific deadline has been set for him to respond. The visits to London and Barcelona are unrelated to the closure of the winter transfer market on Thursday, as Bergvall intends to make his decision in the summer.

Djurgardens is scheduled to play their first preseason friendly against Mjällby on Tuesday the 6th at the Ernesto Aparicio field in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where Bergvall will be part of the training stage. The Swedish football calendar follows the calendar year, with the Cup starting on the 19th and the League commencing on April 1 in Göteborg.
