In a meeting held on Friday, the new Board of Directors of FC Barcelona formalized the positions of its members and also announced the incorporation of new members.

Joan Laporta

President

Barcelona, ​​1962. Laporta has a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona. Master in Company Law and Tax Experts at the Abat Oliba Institute of Higher Studies in Barcelona. He is a founding partner and owner of the law firm Laporta & Arbós Advocats Associats; member of the Barcelona Bar Association and, among other positions, he is a member of the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee of the Lluch Foundation and patron of the Johan Cruyff Welfare Foundation.

He was president of FC Barcelona between 2003 and 2010.

Rafael Yuste

First Vice President, Sports Area

Barcelona, ​​1962. Yuste is a founding partner of AQIPA Iberia, a subsidiary of AQIPA GMBH Austria, with subsidiaries in 13 countries. He is also a consultant specialized in international trade. Since 1983, he has been operating in commerce in Europe, the United States, Africa, Canada, Asia and South America.

He was a director of FC Barcelona between 2005 and 2008 and sports vice president between 2008 and 2010.

Elena Fort

Barcelona, ​​1970. Fort has a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona. A lawyer specialized in public law and urban planning, she is a partner and founder of BRF Abogados SLP. She was a deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia (May 2019 – December 2020) and also a member of the Barcelona Bar Association.

She was a director of FC Barcelona between 2008 and 2010.

Eduard Romeu

Romeu has a degree in Economics and worked at Banco de Santander and Bankia. In 2015 he joined the Audax Energía group as corporate director and is currently vice president of the board of directors of Audax Renovables, an independent energy group whose activity is focused on the production of 100% renewable energy.

Ferran Olivé

Barcelona, ​​1958. Olivé has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is also the president of Hestia Alliance SL., a leading management group in social health care and a benchmark in mental health.

Josep Cubells

Cubells has a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona. A lawyer with more than 25 years of professional experience, he is a founding partner of the law firm Iuris Grup Advocats, former president of the finance club of the University of Barcelona, ​​a member of the procedural section of Icab, member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport of Catalonia and Master in international trade. He was a director of FC Barcelona between 2003 and 2010 and secretary of the Board between 2008 and 2010.

After the addition of these members, more important and significant additions will be made to the board in the coming few weeks. According to ESPN’s Samuel Marsden, Ferran Reverter will be joining as the General Manager of the club and Mateu Alemany will join as the Director of Sports. Enric Masip will be Laporta’s advisor and Manana Giorgadze is set to join as the head of the presidential cabinet.
