Having suffered from an injury in Barcelona’s most recent game against Levante, Friday marks the return of the Uruguayan striker.
Luis Suárez is once again ready for selection for Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde. During the Blaugrana’s latest league clash against UD Levante, the forward was substituted shortly before half-time for La Masia winger, Carles Pérez.
Back then, the club’s official announcement confirmed Suárez having an injury in his right leg, and the Barcelona camp did not publically give an estimate for his return. However, the announcement read that he would be unavailable for the Champions League game against Slavia Praha midweek, with the game later ending in a stalemate at the Camp Nou.
Friday, with the squad list being published after the pre-match press conference and training session, Luis Suárez was declared fit to play, with his recovery having gone well. His most recent injury was his second this season, and his eighth in the past two.
He joins Junior Firpo, Ousmane Dembélé and Moussa Wagué on the full squad list, which consists of the following players:
Marc-André ter Stegen
Frenkie de Jong
The game against Celta kicks off this coming Saturday at 9:00 PM local time, at the Camp Nou.
