Pau Cubarsí and Héctor Fort are attracting attention from various clubs due to their low release clauses.

Pau Cubarsí and Héctor Fort, both 17 years old, have shown they are ready for top-level demands despite their youth, with several clubs closely monitoring them. According to Jordi Batalla of Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona remains calm and confident in the player’s appreciation of the club’s treatment, although the sporting direction acknowledges the need for action, with Cubarsí’s contract until 2026 and Fort’s until 2025, their low release clauses, around €10 million, from their initial professional contracts signed upon leaving the youth team valid until they turn 18, can be updated thereafter, with the club already taking steps in this regard, although the players are in no rush to extend their contracts.

Before renewing with Barcelona, Chelsea attempted to sign Pau Cubarsí, still considering his addition to address their defensive issues. Additionally, Barcelona has also made moves with Marc Guiu, whose contract ends in June 2025, to extend his relationship, seeing him as a highly capable forward, while Marc Casadó’s contract with Barcelona expires this summer, but the club has the option to extend it by one year, one of the decisions to be made by Deco.
