TV3 reports that FC Barcelona’s President, Joan Laporta, has presented his renewal proposal for the Argentine superstar Lionel Messi to his father and agent Jorge Messi. However, this was later denied by the player’s entourage.

According to TV3, Lionel Messi has received the renewal offer from the club. Joan Laporta has made his intentions clear of keeping Messi at FC Barcelona since the beginning of his campaign. Initially, Laporta was waiting for the results of the audit that he ordered. However, he has decided to present his offer to Messi before the Copa America begins.

TV3 also advances what the structure of Messi’s renewal would be like. It would consist of three phases. The first one would be two years more at FC Barcelona as a player. The second, as a Blaugrana ambassador in the US during his time in the MLS. Finally, the third one, would last five more year and would have him as a member of the Barcelona football area.

However, Mundo Deportivo has reported that no official offer has been made to the Barcelona captain. As per the news outlet, Messi’s entourage is surprised and holds that “there is no official offer from the club to Messi.”
