Although there were recent speculations linking Wolfsburg’s young talent, German midfielder Jule Brand, to the Catalan club, her representatives confirmed to Kicker that she intends to fulfill her contract with Wolfsburg.
This decision was made consciously without activating her release clause, as stated by her agent Orhan Lokurlu. Despite the allure of Barcelona, Brand, a 21-year-old German international midfielder with 41 caps and 7 goals for her country, is under contract with Wolfsburg until 2025, with a release clause of €450,000. While several key players like Lena Oberdorf and Dominique Janssen have opted for new challenges, Brand remains loyal to Wolfsburg, a powerhouse in women’s football, even amidst their current challenges.
